Predictable...
How predictable is unpredictable
priding herself in her secrecy
leaving no footprints behind her
as she walks beside me.
To every human there is a philosophy
our faces tell our stories
how predictable is unpredictable?
as much as our faces can tell.
As much as we hide behind our smiles;
yet the certainties of our ordeals,
the sorrows of our pursuits
the Joys of our problems
They cannot hide,
they make us,
they form us
we are so predictable
How predictable is unpredictable!

a note to mothers...
A note to mums...
I chose to use a collage of beautiful children that cut across all races, black and white. They are naive and unsuspecting. Nothing really matters to them as they forget so soon. Except that there are certain images that some of these kids will never forget. The images have been imprinted in their psyche; Ugly and grotesque images. The images of their abuse.
I have had reason to research on rape victims/survivors and the aftermath of the rape and I have come to a conclusion that it is better heard than experienced. For long years, rape victims are unable to make any tangible progress in their lives. They try hard, and the harder they try, the faster they spin in circles about a mean position. Their fate is that of fear, trepidation and constant paranoia. What shocks me the most is the flippancy with which parents handle these stories. They show some concern and that's all. "If it didn't happen to my child, then why care so much", they must say. They refuse to become proactive and take steps to stem this tide of abuse.
You might wonder why I chose such an uninteresting topic to write on. I saw a child rape video. That’s why. It was shocking! The mean girl performed all sorts on this poor kid. From their statures, I could tell the guy was about 4 years old and the girl? Maybe 11years. From the look on the kids face, he was completely unaware of anything the girl was doing to him. the girl literarily "educated" him on what to do with her tiny little body. This isn't peculiar. Scores and scores of children get raped every day. They are used as sex objects and subjected to unbelievable sex-routines.
A note to mums....
• to take charge of the futures of their kids
• To protect them from ravenous beasts
• teach them that the wild life isn't the best life
• they may hate you today, but they'll definitely appreciate you tomorrow
• Be on the lookout for relations who are sexual predators.
Will you re-affirm that “not on your watch will a sex-predator truncate the destiny of your beloved kids”.
BE ON THE LOOKOUT!!!
